BILLY Clarke feels a bit miffed not to be targeted by the Preston boo boys.

The City forward used to play for bitter local rivals Blackpool and once scored inside the first 30 seconds of a derby.

But don't expect him to be running a gauntlet of hate at Deepdale tomorrow.

Clarke said: "I should get some stick really because I scored against them. I'm a bit gutted if they don't remember.

"But I've played against them for Sheffield United and Crawley a couple of times since and not had a thing.

"I've never had it in my career really. Some people are hated wherever they go but I suppose I've never left a club where I've started kicking up a stink or anything like that.

"I don't think it would affect me anyway."

Clarke had a huge effect on City's fortunes in the FA Cup with his game-changing second-half display at Halifax. The two assists will earn him a recall.

He said: "I was obviously disappointed not to start but I was happy to come on and have a positive influence. Sometimes it just clicks.

"It would have been horrendous if we lost on Sunday – but we didn't and can take positives from that.

"Preston's unbeaten home run has got to end eventually. It can't go on forever.

"Our best performances and results have probably been in games where nobody expected us to do anything, so that's fine by us if people think that."
