STRIKER Jon Stead is back with City on loan until the new year.

The 31-year-old, who finished last season at Valley Parade, has rejoined the Bantams from Huddersfield until January 3.

Phil Parkinson has been trying to bring in another forward since Mason Bennett was recalled by Derby at the start of the week.

Stead said: "It has all come a bit of out the blue really but it was an easy decision to come back."

Stead comes in match fit, having made nine appearances for Town so far. He has started two Championship games and recently scored against Middlesbrough.

He played eight times for City last season and netted in the final-day win at Tranmere.
