BRADFORD City are right at the top of the table when it comes to value for money on ticket prices at Valley Parade.

But they are closer to the relegation places for the cost of a pie, cup of tea and a replica shirt.

The statistics have been revealed in a Price of Football study by BBC Sport.

It found that, since 2011, the average price of the cheapest matchday ticket from the Premier League to League Two has increased 13 per cent, compared to a 6.8 per cent rise in the cost of living during that time.

In the Premier League, the increase is 15.8 per cent, while it is 31.7 per cent in League One and 19 per cent in League Two. In the Championship, the average price has dropped 3.2 per cent.

City sit seventh in the League One table, with 18 points from 12 games.

But when it comes to season ticket prices, the Bantams are in a lofty second place. Valley Parade's cheapest season ticket is £199, behind only Fleetwood Town's at £179.50. Premier League champions Manchester City's cheapest season ticket is £299, while Arsenal's is £1,014.

The clubs are the only two to have a season ticket priced under £200 in League One - and there are only two clubs with a lower price for the cheapest season ticket in League Two.

Bradford and Fleetwood also lead the way in League One for the lowest price for their most expensive season ticket - at £299 and £250, respectively. The two clubs are the only ones under £300 in that category.

The most expensive club in League One is Chesterfield, with their cheapest and most expensive season tickets priced at £345 and £550, respectively.

Phil Parkinson's men are also relatively cheap to watch as a one-off experience. The Bantams' cheapest seat is £20 - joint-sixth with seven other clubs - but their most expensive is also £20, putting the club joint-first with Rochdale in the cheapest most expensive matchday ticket category.

But food and drink let the Bantams down, according to BBC Sport. City are 12th cheapest in the league for a day out when factoring in ticket price, a £3 programme, pie and a cup of tea.

Valley Parade sells the most expensive cup of tea in League One, costing £2.20. The average price is £1.83, while Colchester is cheapest at £1.

And only four clubs have pies that are more expensive than Bradford's £3.20.

When it comes to kitting out supporters, Bradford proves expensive. An adult replica shirt is, like six other clubs, £44 - but only three clubs are more expensive. Children's shirts are £36 - the joint-most expensive in the league alongside five other clubs.
