City eased to a comfortable 3-0 win at Guiseley in their opening pre-season friendly this afternoon.
All the goals came in the first half with youngster Lewis Clarkson, who started up front alongside James Hanson, netting twice. Matty Dolan was also on target with a free-kick.
City, who changed the entire team at half-time, used five trialists, including one-time QPR attacker Angelo Balanta and former Derby striker Callum Ball.
The second half saw no more goals but City had the chances to increase their tally.
Mark Yeates and Billy Clarke both had efforts cleared off the line, and Ball headed against the bar. Raffaele De Vita also should have scored from close range.
City fly off to Dublin tomorrow to begin their training week in Ireland.
