Stephen Darby is the new Bradford City captain - after penning a new three-year contract.
The ultra-consistent right back, who played every game last season, will take over the armband after committing his long-term future to the club.
Darby swept the board at the player of the year awards last month and his decision to stay is the news that all City fans have been waiting for.
Darby said: "I've loved every minute here and all I wanted to do was sign again. There's no better place for me.
"It's a massive honour and such a privilege to be given the captain's armband."
The 25-year-old, who has made exactly 100 City appearances, skippered the team twice last season when Gary Jones was ill.
