Doncaster winger Kyle Bennett is expected to join City today on loan until the end of the season.

And Jason Kennedy is heading the other way to return to Rochdale in another temporary move.

Bennett, 23, has found opportunities in the Championship limited and recently spent a loan spell with Crawley.

A right winger, he will offer direct competition to Garry Thompson. City recently brought in Aston Villa teenager Jordan Graham but that was more as cover from the bench at a time when numbers were depleted.

Bennett, known for his pace, has plenty of first-team experience. With Raffael De Vita still struggling with a thigh injury and Mark Yeates struggling for form, he could be pushing Thompson for a start against Preston on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, midfielder Kennedy is going back to Spotland for the rest of the season. He has found it hard to make an impact at Valley Parade and the return to Rochdale will give him the regular run of games he has been lacking.
