Police launch appeal for missing teenagers

A search is underway for two teenage girls who have gone missing from a hospital unit providing child and adolescent mental health services.

Police are appealing for information regarding two 16-year-olds who left West Lane Hospital in Middlesbrough at about 2.30pm this afternoon (Wednesday, April 24) and have not returned.

The first is of slight build with brown shoulder length hair worn in a pony tail. She has a fixed brace on her teeth and was wearing a red hoody, grey tracksuit bottoms with red stripes on the sides. The second girlis small and also of slight build, she has short brown hair and was wearing a white puffa jacket and black leggings.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency 101number or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555111.
