Valley Parade pitch inspection

City will hold a pitch inspection late tomorrow morning to see if Saturday's game with Wycombe has any chance of beating the big freeze.

With temperatures forecast to plummet again this evening, the prospects of Valley Parade thawing out in time for action appear remote.

Hope so, can not go tomorrow as I am away for the weekend, and gives players another breather.

bit selfish.
so you would rather have a backlog?

And you'd rather risk our knackered players picking up injuries on a frozen pitch?

I hope it's off - we lost tamely after the first leg, the players will be mentally drained after Tuesday night and there for the taking I think. Give them a good breather and get back to work serious on Monday

Totally agree with a rest period

Amusing how we haven't cleared the blankets of snow yet and are clearly trying to get the game off!

We need the rest, the players are still getting interviewed by all the media, and training at apperley is a joke in anything other than glorious sunshine. Gives em time to maybe sign another player too maybe?

With our track record of not great results in matches subsequent to the big cup matches, a breather may be a good idea. At the same time, don't want an end of season backlog either...

seen as the whole team is flying to tenerife for 3 days after the wycombe game, i am sure flights from LBA are friday , saturday and tuesday, would fit in nicely for the game to be called off, better to go satuday than tuesday lol.
