Bradford City winger Kyel Reid has happy memories of Underhill

Kyel Reid is predicting more ups than downs on Barnet’s notorious slope tomorrow.
The flying winger is relishing a return to Underhill – where he helped wreak havoc in a 4-0 City win last term.
Reid is fit and firing again after his absence with a groin injury. He played the full game on Saturday before coming off the bench to rattle Morecambe in the closing stages on New Year’s Day.
He said: “We’ll be going down there all guns blazing to get the win and kick off the new year on a great run.
“I’ve always enjoyed playing at Barnet. Arsenal play reserve games there so I went quite a lot with West Ham.
“I had a great game there last season, Fages (Craig Fagan) also played very well and it was a good day out for us. Hopefully we can do the same again.”
Reid came in for some heavy treatment from the Shrimps defenders in midweek but felt no after effects.
“There are times in games when I do think about it after a challenge but there’s nothing to worry about.
“You can’t just pick it up straight away and you have to work hard behind the scenes.
“Even when I’ve finished training, I’ve still got to keep on top of the strength work and make sure the groin’s fine and I don’t break down with any other niggles.
“But I’m picking up the match fitness. I came back with a goal (at Brentford) and then played the full game against Rochdale, which I wasn’t expecting.
“It’s been a frustrating couple of results. We should have come away with the win from Morecambe but a point away from home is always good.
“Barnet’s a good place to play and we’ll be targeting the three points.”
