Tickets for both of City’s Capital One Cup semi-final legs will go on sale from Thursday morning.

Season-ticket and flexicard holders can book their seats for the Aston Villa games from 9am on December 27.

Using the same system as the Arsenal tie, they can buy a maximum of two home tickets on a first come, first served basis.

Once again, nobody will be guaranteed their usual seat, although they will be able to choose what is available.

Season-ticket and flexicard holders can also buy one ticket each for the return leg at Villa Park.

Villa put their tickets on sale on Friday but City decided to wait until after tomorrow’s home game with Accrington.

They decided against doing it on Saturday because of the number of fans making the abortive coach trip to Wycombe.

Supporters holding season tickets and flexicards can secure their seats between Thursday and 5pm on Friday, January 4.

They cannot buy from the ticket office on Saturday because of the Rochdale match or on New Year’s Day.

The online facility will be available right through that period, including those two days.

Remaining tickets, for both home and away games, will then go on general sale from 9am on Saturday, January 5.

Villa, like Arsenal, will be given the whole Midland Road Stand for the first leg on Tuesday, January 8. Tickets for City fans cost £25 adults, £20 concessions and £15 for under-16s.

City have been given the full allocation of 6,375 tickets for the Villa Park tie on Tuesday, January 22. Those will cost £29 adults, £25 concessions and £15 juniors.

Meanwhile, the City ticket office is open until 1pm today and then from 9am on Boxing Day to buy tickets for the Accrington game that afternoon.
