Phil Parkinson admits the idea of giving fans free away tickets tomorrow is a new one on him.
The City boss is thrilled with the club’s “magnificent gesture” by offering to pay for them to watch the game at Wycombe.
Up to 2,000 fans could take up the opportunity and make the trip to Adams Park to roar on the Bantams.
Parkinson said: “This club have got a close affinity with the supporters, which is great, and it’s nice of Julian (Rhodes) and Mark (Lawn) to do this.
“It’s a genuine appreciation of the fantastic supporters we’ve got and I hope they come down and have a really good day. My job is to pick a team that can hopefully win the game and give them that.
“I cannot ever recall another club doing this.
“We’ve made a few quid on the (Capital One) cup run and the board wanted to take the opportunity to thank the fans for their backing.”
Tickets are available to pick up from Valley Parade, maximum two per person. Fans can also book coach travel at £10, subject to availability.
