Quids in, loving this tie already. If Arsenal do play a team of inexperienced players then BCFC must have chance of causing an upset, of course it's a long shot but it should be a great night for Bradford City Football Club whatever the result.

Regards tickets to this game. I seem to recall that priority would be given to those 3,000 odd that attended the Burton Albion home cup game, and have the green reciept to prove it.

Wrong that was for the Wigan game.

Anyhow season ticket holders need not worry as they have first refusal.

Anyone who turns up to the next few home games will no doubt be guaranteed tickets too so you need not worry, unless you don't actually attend games and Arsenal will be the first.

Surely the first in the queue should be the 5000 that travelled to Wigan on a cold wet evening? Also along with ST holders.

Hopefully we can fill VP but charging over £20 as people are suggesting is not the correct thing to do. £20 is more than enough. I have always been a season ticket holder but i still think flexi card holders should be classed as season ticket holders, They still put £50 quid down to watch league 2 football.
have a cut off date for season and flexi tickets, then just put them on general sale for the same £20, all this suggestion of collecting vouchers is rubbish, welcome everybody down to VP to watch because afterall making the ticket process any more complicated might just persuade people to stay in the pub and watch on sky. Arsenal or not the main aim should be to fill 25000 seats on a Tuesday night . it will still take a reasonable price to do this, thats the reason wigan sold for £10.
afterall, "its only the cup, who gives a f**k were super city and were going up!" win or loose were in the money!

Hasn't anyone read my post from this morning? I suggested that the club introduce a vocher system. It may be too late for the chesterfield game, so the next 2 games are Exeter & Plymouth. Now we know the exact date of the game, let's get the tickets printed for the S/t & flexi holders and get them out of the way. all those others who normally pay on the day, want to see the Arsenal game must attend those 2 games to receive a voucher which gets you a ticket for the Arsenal game. It's ok jumping up and down and saying that it's big mony for the club for that night. What about big money for the league games. We could easily get 15-16k for those two games and that will also help city with their promotion push. How many plastics will go to these two games to qualify for a ticket for the Arsenal game? not many cos they are all waiting for the general sale of the tickets. Let's forget about the past rounds and how many attended.

Why would going to one game against a Premier League side somehow make you deserving of a ticket to a match against Arsenal? Try going to Hartlepool in the JPT or attending the Notts County and Burton fixtures in the League Cup?

Season Ticket and 50/50s will ALL get tickets. That still leaves 15k to 16k to fight for the rest; including away fans. If you are not a season ticket or 50/50 holder then to be honest; i don't care of you don't get a ticket.

Those coming out of the woodwork because we have an attractive fixture deserve no priority. Those who support regularly will get a ticket anyway.

How about those who actually PLAY football on a saturday, or rugby/any other sport to stay healthy and can only support on odd weekends where they might not have a game? Was a season ticket holder for 13 years thru the doldrums and glory days but for past 8 years i've played sport...but i go to the games i can/can afford to/buy the shirt every season etc. Why should I be penalised? I said to Mike from the city gent that there should be an alternative to the flexi card that guarantees cheaper tickets to all NON saturday games but I suppose that would be ludicrous...the flexi card at present wouldnt offer any sort of saving for a non-saturday supporter.

Chances are if you were an ST holder that long you'll be on a database/mailing list - I assume BCFC will do like Wigan did and use a database to make sure non-regulars who want to come are at least BCFC fans of some sort and not armchair Arsenal fans.

So we have 25000 seats to fill and never been done before, dont see what all the fuss is about, 10000 ish to season tickets and flexi ( me included and part of the deal of buying a season ticket)
another 15000 to sell, you suggest that we charge the floaters, current, old, new fans £40 quid and then £20 to watch Arsenal ( because thats the team they want to watch) £60, get real, i would just watch it on sky and think sod it!
Its worse than wigan's half empty effort. If people want to watch the local team and Arsenal that they see on TV every week, let them, take there £20 quid and laugh all the way to the bank, sell them pies, beer programmes , tacky one off scarfs and who knows, they might come back or keep going, your suggestion prices kids and family's out that could be future fans.

Fair do's but it has been mentioned several times by various people and I think BCFC have had their offical facebook page bombarded with similar suggestions so I'm sure they have it in order.

I said yesterday anything to get bums on seats on the lead up to the game is just as important as the game itself.

"get over it!" says...

Why dont you go the whole hog and do like the F.A do with England, charge £75 to be in the offical fan club just to get the chance to buy away tickets, the fact that some of us are willing to travel all that way and spend our money doesn't matter! some of us having to travel to Montenegro and San Marino to earn enough caps so we can get tickets for Brazil 2014, surely City know better than to rip prospecting fans off like England do! Football is a business and should be run as such, we cannot afford to pick and choose who we get our business from! repeat business is the answer not pi****g people off.

Thee Voice of Reason says...
2:24pm Thu 1 Nov 12

The fans who turn up week in week out will get a ticket, like said above who cares about the rest, they can fight among themselves for the extra tickets but City should try entice people down to the ground by allowing those who come to the next few home games a better chance of getting tickets for the Arsenal game.

As for following England, I don't know why you put yourself through that just to see England lose on penalties when you can see the penalty kings in your own city.

Thats true i suppose! Its the lure of a world cup in Brazil for me! The travelling part is the best part of it cos lets face it England are turd, thats why the £75 hurts so much! i would take tickets to any game! San Marino on a friday night is a good cheap might as well game until you try to get tickets!

What a set of worriers and whiners. Simply 8000 tickets or so will be sold to ST and FC holders. The bread and butter.

Say Arsenal are given 3000, picking a figure out of thin air.

That leaves 14,000 tickets.

There's enough for everyone. Calm down. Don't panic. Get a grip.

Pricing. £20 all day long. QF of the cup. Worth £20. If you don't like it don't come.

City fans have been spoilt of late with cheap tickets. Get your short arms in your deep pockets for once !

I went to my first game at age 4 and 25 years later, through thick and thin, I'm still at VP when I can. So are you trying to tell me, some johnny come lately who popped up during the premiership years, is more deserving of a ticket to our biggest game in a decade.

As long as all the regular BCFC fans are catered for, then the rest i'm sure will be snapped up by less frequent Bradford City Football Club fans, that's how it works. I'm sure the odd Arsenal fan will be sat in the home end, but as long as they keep quiet and don't wear the Arsenal colours i don't see a problem. Obviously if there is more infiltration of the home sections there could be crowd trouble. Personally i can't see that senario happening, there will be around 4,750 Arsenal fans at Valley Parade and just short of 21,000 Bradford City Football Club fans. Bring it on...

I wouldn't care less if Arsenal fans were sat in the home end, most of them will be from Bradford anyway, there is no rivalries between Arsenal and City. I am sure a few Arsenal shirts will be worn but who cares and if they win , i would be happy to go to the emerites and put my city shirt on, they are more likely to offer you tea and biccy's than a punch, they are the most boring set of fans in the world.

What some people don't realise is that there are other fans altogether who could get tickets.

By that I mean Leeds. On the BCFC Facebook page there are a couple of people seemingly posing as City fans but are obviously Leeds fans when you look at their profiles. One of them has photos of himself at away game with a load of thuggish looking mates.

Do Leeds thugs have a rivalry with Arsenal? I don't know. But its not unheard of for different fans altogether to try and get tickets for games with ulterior motives.

And as for Arsenal fans in the home ends, I remember when Man United scored at VP and some of their fans made themselves known in them Kop, resulting in them getting smacked by a few people. Anyone who gets in with the other fans when they shouldn't may risk their own safety.

Actually, given that there are 8,000 to 9,000 season ticket and 50/50 holders; if they are all allowed to buy two tickets each then it will be pretty much up to the true City fans who get to see the game! That's a better reference check than the club can carry out.

Besides, those talking about the Wigan game and those who went; I was surrounded by Arsenal fans at the DW! Not sure if they were students in Bradford or just friends of City fans but when one of them said; who is the number 23 then I suspected that he wasn't a true City fan!!

There's enough for everyone. Calm down. Don't panic. Get a grip.

Pricing. £20 all day long. QF of the cup. Worth £20. If you don't like it don't come.

City fans have been spoilt of late with cheap tickets. Get your short arms in your deep pockets for once !
I couldn't have put it better myself, brian.

I don't recall us ever selling out the stadium since it was finally redeveloped.

As you say, approximately 14,000 spare tickets for a midweek game, to be televised, in December of all months.

Anything above 18,000 would surprise me.

A draw, and a big gate at the Emirates would be the icing on the cake.

I like your thinking Aleximo. The "plastics" as you call them should be fleeced for all they are worth!! This tie is for those who have stuck with the club through 12 years of decline.
Cheers pal. Hey listen, I'm not very good with e.mails and if you are, why dont you put my suggestion forward to the club m8. They might have it in mind anyway but worth a try.
Der . They won't have thought of that one!!!! It's obvious to introduce a voucher system for the next 2 home games, teams have been doing it for donkeys years. You don't need to tell them.

We'll sell all 25,000 tickets for this one , we've got around 10,000 season ticket holders and flexi card holders, Arsenal will be given the whole of the Midland Road stand which holds around 4,700 seats, i'd be surprised if they don't sell them at 20 quid a seat, very cheap compared to premiership prices...... so around 10,000 seats to go to those BCFC fans that go less frequently plus floating footy fans. Full House.

I can see Arsenal getting the midland road stand which holds 4500 if I am not mistaken they will sell them with ease.We will sell around 18000+ with it being on telly as well £20 a ticket is fair with reductions for over 65 and under 16 thats the same price as the league and no real fan can complain and I am season ticket holder of 30 years so I dont see a issue.

Do people really think that even if there are those that want to watch simply Arsenal, that they and most top-flight teams offer League Cup for a tenner ?.

At £20 it will not be a full-house, far from it, especially as it is televised.
There is the added trip to London to see Arsenal which probably puts them off. A tenner is good but not when you have to pay £60 in petrol.

City will beat Arsenal. They will play their youth team and Wenger doesn't like playing in the north. Arsenal always seem to play bad against teams like Blackburn, Sunderland, Stoke etc.

cant understand some fans a one off game against a top premier a team what we wanted and people want tickets at a tenner. Season ticket and flexi holders wont be put off by paying £20 its the floating fans who may not like the price but my answer is simple tough if you are true floating fans a one off £20 is worth it why should the club bow down to these fans.I will pay and should my 17 year old daughter who has been to Rochdale Wigan and home to Port vale wish to come I will pay £20 for her too thats true fans.

I'm certain that Lawn/Rhodes won't pass up the chance to create bigger crowds for the next 3 home games. Suggesting to flexi-card supporters that attending 1 and to casuals 2 of the next 3 will gain them a priority window ahead of the remainder going on general sale.Over 5 weeks to go,so plenty of time for the owners to get the arrangements spot on. btw City to beat the Gooners on penalties ;-)-

Speaking as someone who can't stand Rupert Murdoch, doesn't buy any of his papers or subscribe to his TV programmes-I think it's a pity that the match will be shown live on his TV channel!

I also think, that the match will NOT be a sell-out if the game is on TV (probably on a cold, potentially wet windy night a fortnight before Christmas!)

Yes, perhaps City WANT that TV money, but any money coming from Murdoch enterprises is 'tainted' as everything is that has come in contact with 'the dirty digger!'

On the subject of WHO SHOULD GET FIRST CHANCE AT TICKETS-it's simple! ie those who go to ALL home games each season, paying a large amont of cash up front (the season ticket holders) After that, it should be 'first come first served'!

agree:£20 quid is still too cheap but your point is well made and taken. These people who never go to any game should hve to pay the full whack. Those with season tickets should be allowed to buy a little cheaper asa reward for their unstinting support through a lot of dross over the last 10 years or so. Flexi ticket holdrs should,to my mind, have no first dibbs!

£20 seems fair, and all i'll do is wait until the week before and take my chances at the ticket office.

would be great to see city dump the arsenal out!

On what basis do you work that out then Tyler? I have a fifty fifty mainly because I missed so many games last season due to work commitments holiday cover etc. Previously I have bought my season ticket along with everyone else. I thought if I make every game the club makes an extra eighty notes from me and I wasn't bothered but if I miss a few I'll end up paying the same as you and the others season ticket holders so the club is in win win.
so far this season I have missed two games but passed my fifty fifty to other family members so the club are on course to claim the max 280. So as i have been to all cup ties as well as the club getting more money from me than season ticket holders why do you think i should get in line with the real plastic fans.

Everybody is presuming that 25000 want to go watch a tuesday night league cup tie, To us City fans Bradford City means everything but to anybody else it is just league 2 bradford city, i have always watched city , went to burton game and Wigan both with the attitude that its just the league cup but convenient, not too far to travel, cheap tickets, should be a good game, why not.
City fan or not i wouldn't be travelling down to chelsea or Arsenal on a Tuesday night, wouldn't afford the time off work, Money, would kick back and watch it on sky, all this arguing about who is the better supporter is a load of shyte! decent prices is whats needed as an average person in this day and age would struggle to budget for axtra games like this, especially with kids and family, If we start picking and choosing our fans we will end up going the way the bulls have.
I am a city fan but if there is a good game on elsewhere and city are away i sometimes watch guiseley , thackley anywhere with a good value day out.
also tickets for Man City and wigan are below £25 quid for most premier league games, they offer good football on a budget.
