So Bradford City’s legacy is safe for at least another year.
No teams beneath the Championship still stand in the last 16 of the Capital One Cup. No teams from League Two had even survived to the last round.
No repeat of a Wigan, an Arsenal or a Villa. Even when the winners Swansea were tumbled out by Birmingham this week, it was hardly Valley Parade revisited.
The history makers can rest easy, although it will be a shame not to hear another reference to somebody hoping to “do a Bradford.”
