City fans continue to watch Fabian Delph’s rise at Leeds closely.
The deal which took the Bradford-born midfielder to Elland Road as an 11-year-old has appearance-based add-ons for his home-town club.
More importantly, given the transfer tittle-tattle that surrounds the talented teenager on a daily basis, City also have a sell-on clause – not the 20 per cent speculated on but still a tidy cut – should he be snapped up by one of the big boys.
Delph’s four-minute cameo appearance for England under-21s at Bramall Lane will have tweaked his profile a bit more, although there is no additional clause for international games.
That’s not the case with another former Bantam baby, Andre Wisdom at Liverpool. City will be quids in should he go on to don the Three Lions jersey one day.
That may be a long way off but who’s to say it will not happen?
The central defender or midfielder, who left Valley Parade for Anfield at the start of the year, is already featuring in the Liverpool under-18 side, despite only turning 15 in May.
And he recently made his England under-16 debut in the Victory Shield win over Wales in Llanelli.
If you fancy taking a peak at the other Bradford- produced prodigy, he is in the England squad to face Scotland on telly on Friday.
