Poor City can't compete with Posh

By Simon Parker »

It’s not just in the Premiership where the divide between the rich and the rest is growing by the day.
QPR seem to be buying a player a day during the transfer window thanks to the mega-bucks of their multi-millionaire new owners.
And down at City’s level, Peterborough are splashing the cash like it’s going out of fashion.
Not content with the £500,000-plus striking talent already on their books, Posh spent another £150,000 on Liam Hatch from Barnet.
And now they are in the process of laying out a cool £400,000 on young Norwich goalkeeper Joe Lewis, who City fans will remember from his loan spell at Morecambe when he defied everything thrown at him on that Friday night.
It’s a sobering thought for Stuart McCall when League Two rival Darren Ferguson can shell out that much at the drop of a hat.
