WYKE under-eights were unable to repeat their home victory over Drighlington when the teams met in the reverse fixture, losing by five tries to three, but some of their less experienced players caught the eye.
Player of the match Thomas Croft tackled strongly, Harrison Ward and Ryan Hartley also got stuck in and Robbie Garside continued his improvement.
Tries went to Aidan Cartwright, Alfie Barraclough and Finley Abrahams, while the coaches' award went to Robbie and Harrison and the top tackler
and opposition man of the match to Andrew Parkin.
