WYKE have set up a winner-takes-all clash at home to leaders Selby Warriors on Sunday (11am), with the Yorkshire Junior League Under-14 Division Four title at stake.

The Bradford club defeated visitors Dearne Valley Bulldogs 46-10 in their penultimate game.

Ryan Sharkey's first try for Wyke started the ball rolling and stand-off Cameron Scott's fine individual effort put them further ahead.

Ben Proctor converted both efforts before centre Jamie Robinson scored wide out to make it 16-0.

Bailey Sharkey's converted try, from a planned move, then put Wyke into clear water.

And the understanding between scrum half Connor Fawcett and Scott was to the fore when the latter player went over for a try, leaving Wyke 26-0 up after 20 minutes.

The Bulldogs replied with a six-pointer but Wyke ended the half on top as man of the match Scott collected his own high, hanging kick before gliding through as the hosts made it 32-6.

Fawcett's scoot three minutes after the restart brought try number seven and Scott's fourth of the day helped to take the score to 42-6 before Robinson suffered a knee injury.

The Bulldogs scored again but Wyke had the last say via parents' player of the match Bailey Sharkey.

A major worry came in the closing minutes, however, when winger Leon Bird took a knock to the face in committing to a tackle and suffered a broken nose and suspected concussion.

Top tackler was Wyke skipper Sebastian Blanco.
