Bradford’s Wellington Primary School and Thackley’s Immanuel College will be a hive of activity during the summer holidays.

Wellington are hosting a Fun Football Camp, a Sports Leaders’ course and a multi-sports fun camp (for girls only) on the same week.

The camp runs from Monday, July 25 to Friday, July 29 and the leaders’ course takes place from the Monday until the Wednesday, all from 9am-3pm.

Immanuel College will stage a multi-sports fun camp and street dance sessions on Monday, July 25 to Friday, July 29 and Monday, August 1 to Friday, August 5.

Their sports leaders’ course is from Monday, July 25 to Wednesday, July 27.

The fun football camps, for players aged from four to 12, involves developing key ball skills, 1v1 moves, attacking and defending techniques, matches and tournaments.

The sports leaders’ course is for those aged from 14 to 19 who are on Key Stage Three or Four, or at college, who want to start coaching.

A certificate at the end of the course will enhance their CV.

The multi-sports fun camp for girls at Wellington will run from Monday, July 25 to Wednesday, July 27 (9am-3pm) for those aged from four to 12.

Activities will include striking games, fielding games, invasion games, tag games, parachute games, volleyball, handball and mini Olympics.

The same options apply for boys and girls at Immanuel College.

Street dance sessions will be indoors and conducted by qualified teachers, including modern moves, and there will be an end-of-week performance.

For all camps, participants need lunch, drinks, healthy snacks, sun cream and suitable clothing.

Wellington are also staging a fun football camp from Monday, August 8 to Wednesday, August 10 (9am-3pm).
