Denholme’s Rebekah Tiler is the fastest under-13 girl in the United Kingdom for 150 metres.
During the South Yorkshire Indoor Series at the Institute of Sport in Sheffield, the Bingley Harrier’s time was 20.2 seconds, smashing her previous personal best of 21.5 set last December.
She also ran the 200m and won that in 27.9 – another personal best and, like the 150m, a Grade One time. Her previous best was 28.5, set last month.
The previous day, Rebekah and her younger sister Sophie, who is eight, entered the third and final event in the Bradford Athletics Network’s sports hall competition at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre.
Rebekah again came first in the Year Seven age group, as she had done in the previous events in October and February.
And Sophie got two golds and a fourth over the series at Year Three level, winning in October and last weekend.
