Denholme’s Rebekah Tiler has added to her reputation as one of the strongest lifters in the world for her age.

The Bingley Grammar School pupil (pictured) set another 12 British records in the British Schools’ Weightlifting Championships at Oldbury in the West Midlands, taking her tally for the year so far to an astonishing 81.

In the 69kg category, Rebekah got an impressive 102kg in the clean and jerk and also notched a personal best of 78kg in the snatch to win the section with ease, even outlifting the Year Ten and 11 boys and girls.

Not surprisingly, Rebekah also took the best lifter award, and it is likely that only she will be able to better those records.

Not to be left completely in the shade, her younger sisters Sophie and Lisa were also winners.

Sophie won the 40kg category and set personal bests by lifting 23kg in the snatch and 30kg in the clean and jerk, which was far better then others of her age and weight .

Lisa won her 35kg category, even though she only weighs 27kg!

She also notched personal bests by lifting 17kg in the snatch and 27kg in the clean and jerk, which is her own body weight.
