Budding footballers enjoying the five-a-side tournament at 5 Alive
5 A Live Indoor Football Centre in Bradford played host to a tournament for 13 primary schools.
Schools who entered the five-a-side competition – for pupils from years five and six were: Barkerend Primary School (two teams), St Josephs (two teams), Whetley (two teams), Lidget Green, Low Ash, Thorpe, Heaton, Salterlee, Bradford Moor, Westbourne, Allerton, Mount Pleasant and Ferney Lee.
Teams were placed in two groups of eight teams and played each team in their group once over 12-minute games.
The top two from each group went through to semi-final.
Results – Semi-final one: Whetley Primary School (winners Group A) 4, Bradford Moor (runners-up Group B) 3; Semi-final two: Allerton (winners Group B) 4, Barkerend (runners-up Group A) 2 (after extra-time). Final: Whetley Primary School 3, Allerton 2.
