FARNHAM Primary School are celebrating after winning an under-nines' primary school soccer tournament at Grange Technology College.
Year Three and Year Four boys and girls from the school in Great Horton showed team spirit and determination to finish top of their West Bradford area cluster, scoring seven goals and keeping six clean sheets after emerging from a round-robin group that contained Copthorne, Crossley Hall, Lidget Green, Princeville, St Oswald’s and Horton Grange, who were runners-up.
Omar Ashraf, learning mentor at Farnham Primary, said: “It is a great achievement for the children. I feel this group of children have learned a lot, and it was a pleasure to see them displaying the school ethos of pride, belief and passion outside of a classroom setting."
