Wyke Wanderers FC have been holding free coaching sessions for Key Stage Two pupils at Appleton Academy in Wyke.
Andrew Pickersgill, school liaison officer for Wyke Wanderers, taught pupils after school in Appleton’s new sports hall, completed ahead of the new main building.
The pupils were rewarded with certificates and Wyke Wanderers shin pads.
Pickersgill – with help from other Wyke Wanderers coaches – has visited several schools in the Wyke area during 2011 and future visits are planned for 2012.
