FOOTBALL: Ben Holdsworth's hat-trick helped Eccleshill Blues Eagles Under-14s to an exciting 3-2 win over Eldwick.
There was a slow start to the Craven Division C encounter, which came to life when Eagle Tom McMahon's shot from the edge of box was deflected in by Holdsworth's hip. Eldwick equalised just before the break.
The second half start at a fast pace with James Spivey and Jai Gata-Aura working hard for the Eagles.
Holdsworth's and Eagles' second came from the penalty spot.
Eldwick equalised with five minutes to go, but the Eagles winner came from a through ball from Vincent Henderson to Holdsworth, who fired home.
