IT WAS hardly surprising that a draw brought so much joy to Bradford Park Avenue B under-13s.
They had lost all eight of their previous matches in Division 5A and 5B of the Huddersfield RCD Junior League and were at third-placed Elland B, who had won seven and lost one of their eight previous matches this campaign.
Small wonder then that Avenue coach Emma Taylor said the entertaining 2-2 draw was the best game she had seen her charges play – and they could have won it as they hit a post in the closing stages.
Avenue, whose man of the match was Lewis Emmott, took the lead through Nathan Horner and Joe Kenny, only to be pegged back by Elland, who are now second.
