THACKLEY Storm kept up the pressure on leaders Sutton Rascals with a convincing victory in Craven, Aire & Wharfe League Under-13 Division A.

Storm only trail the south Craven side by a point after their 5-0 victory over next-to-bottom Silsden at Immanuel College.

Goals came from Lincoln Barraclough, Rithik Chand, David Wilkinson, Jake Williams and substitute Alex Jones.

Sutton triumphed 4-3 at BD5 with efforts from Jamie Milner (2), Joel Livock and Samuel Thornton.

Neither Storm nor Rascals might end up winning the title, however, as Salts Lions are third with games in hand.

They beat visitors Oakworth Hornets 4-1, Kieron Donohue (2), Jack Craven and Max Foulds being the Lions marksmen and Warren Bennett getting the consolation.

There was another defeat, however, for bottom-of-the-table Thackley Lightning – 4-2 at Albion Lions, whose goals came from Mohammed Anas, skipper Jacob McNulty, Muhammad Nasim and Danyaal Majeed, Kian Fletcher and Tommy Trotter replying.

Steeton are still on course for the Under-18 Division A title. Strikes from Jonson Butterfield, James Gilmartin and Tom Leach gave them a 3-1 victory at Thackley, for whom Toby Riley replied.

Salts Lions' chances diminished after a shock 2-2 draw against bottom-of-the-table Menston Rovers.

Joe Cooper and Andrew Dougan were on target for Rovers, Jake Murgatroyd and substitute Jason Anderson doing likewise for Lions.

However, at least Salts won the other leg of the double header 3-1, with goals from Matthias Britton (2) and Matthew Jacques, Dougan replying.

Jeremiah Witter's brace spearheaded Sandy Lane's 4-2 home win over Embsay in Division B, Aidan Leach and Bradley Pearson also scoring.

Sandy have now won 12 out of 12 but Cross Hills won their double header 2-0 and 3-1 against Calverley to go third behind Horsforth St Margarets.

Bradford Park Avenue B started brightly in their Under-12 Division 5B clash at home to Cleckheaton B but were 2-0 down at half-time and 4-0 behind by the finish, despite some outstanding saves from Ben Bordall.
