KRISHAN Patel bagged a hat-trick as Albion Sports under-18s logged an impressive 6-1 home victory over Silsden in the Craven League.

Albion started brightly and took an early lead via a stunning free-kick from Zain Mushtaq. Silsden drew level thanks to a penalty but Paul Bernard raced through to restore the hosts' advantage before the interval.

The second half was then dominated by Albion as two quick goals by top scorer Patel pulled them clear, with man of the match Kamron Basi controlling the game from the back.

Bernard added his second goal late on with a low drive and Patel completed his treble just before the end with a wonderful lob.

Bolton Woods Sabres under-13s B returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 4-1 victory at home to Sutton Rogues.

The Lions under-17s kept their strong run going thanks to a late winner as they won 3-2 against Brighouse B – despite having to make do with no first-choice goalkeeper.

But Cumberworth pulled a goal back just before half-time, had pulled level with five minutes remaining and added two more goals before the end despite the best efforts of goalkeeper Thomas Taylor, who was named man of the match.
