WIBSEY Lions under-18s' 100 per cent record was under serious threat in the Huddersfield RCD Junior League.

They were 3-0 behind at half-time against Uppermill but won 5-4, with Cam Green and Mani Omojola reducing the deficit early in the second half before Josh Thompson rounded the keeper to level things up.

Uppermill then took the lead again before Omojola made it 4-4 after Kristan Gordon had hit the bar, Nathan Khan netting Wibsey's winner with five minutes left.

In contrast, new boys Wibsey under-11s notched their first league win of the season, 7-2 over Howden Clough C, as Jay Cunningham (3), Callum Bower (2) and Jamie Taylor (2) sealed the result.

Lions under-17s are following their under-18s in making a strong start to the campaign and beat Shelley C 5-2, Callum Hanson opening the scoring followed by winger Frazer Allan, who was then brought down for Macca Haley to net a penalty.

Shelley pulled one back before half-time but Wibsey made sure of the points with goals from Pat Devanney and Abel Mariwandi before conceding a consolation.

Wibsey under-13s got back to winning ways and remain joint-top after a 6-1 scoreline over Shelf B, Jacob McLoughlin bagging four and others goals coming from Adam Wood and Bailey Evans.

Dewsbury Rangers under-12s' centre backs were the key to their 3-2 win at Bradford Park Avenue B, for whom Harry Wood and Clark Bolton (penalty) netted.

Keeper Alistair Welch, Daniel Scott and Clark Bolton shone for Avenue, whose A team won 3-2 at Batley, where Joseph Papworth was man of the match.

Jack Craven edged Avenue ahead but it was 1-1 with 15 minutes left when Connor Chippendale netted a piledriver for the visitors, Ellis Martin making it 3-1 before Batley scored following a mix-up at a corner.

Bradford Warriors under-nines had hat-trick heroes in Mason Martin and Jack Mahon in their 10-1 victory over Challenge, Maison Strangeway (2), Donrique Davies and Jack Hayes completing the tally, with Dylan Mavin man of the match.

Bradford Warriors under-12s progressed to round two of the West Riding County FA Shield, defeating Wortley Colts 7-1. Goals came from Roberto McFarlane (4), Jordan Styslo (2) and man of the match Ben Green as they booked a tie with Rothwell Juniors.

Dudley Hill Rangers under-tens continued their impressive start in the Bradford & District Keybury League with a 5-1 win at Long Lee, Dominic Parish (3), Jodi Tiffany and George Edge scoring but defender Jack Tostevins being man of the match.

There were more hat-tricks at under-nine level, with Rangers Blues winning 3-1 at Eldwick Eagles thanks to Adam Morris, and Rangers Reds triumphing 4-2 at Eldwick Hawks through Riley Nelson (3) and Bailey Flaherty.

Rangers under-11s are joint-top with Ilkley but had their toughest test yet at last season's runners-up Sutton Juniors before winning 4-2.

Karlson Ogie and Anton Tavernier netted in each half before Rangers conceded two soft, late goals. Midfielder Carl Hadley was man of the match.

Bolton Woods Sabres under-13s rediscovered their pride in a 1-0 defeat at in-form Crossley in the Craven, Aire & Wharfe League, both keepers starring following Sabres' 7-2 home thrashing by Calverley.
