Baildon Trinity Dynamos under-12s ended BPA’s three-year unbeaten Keybury League record in style as they won the top-of-the-table clash 7-2.

There were two goals each from Louis Fialdini, Courbon Carr and James Whitoak, with the impressive Louis Turner bagging the other.

Captain Denon Sokee, Charlie Menzies, Kian Flesher and Louis Anderson also excelled, with Harvey Weston-Beyer unflappable in goal.

Baildon Dynamos Sky under-eights were also victorious as they beat Keighley Shamrocks 5-3.

Rory Holmes (2), Max Paterson, Ben Cockcroft and man of the match Alfie Turner provided the goals, with Harvey Menzies, Hamish McCallum and the keeper Connor Holmes impressing as well.

* Idle’s under-16 girls team made a sporting decision that cost them the chance of clinching the league title as they lost 5-3 at Gomersal.

When the Idle side arrived for the game, they found the hosts had just nine players but immediately took the decision to leave two of their own on the sidelines to even things up.

Gomersal led 3-1 at the interval and went on to clinch victory but Idle coach Tony Tait insisted: “Junior sport is all about development and encouragement.

“I felt for the Gomersal girls and wanted to even the numbers up – and we still have a chance of taking the title in a play-off if we win our last game.”

* Sam Brooks netted both goals as Bingley Barca reached the final of the Liam Daly Cup with a 2-1 extra-time win at Sutton.

Both teams had plenty of chances but it was Sutton who took the lead when Bingley failed to clear a corner and Mohammad Ul-Haq stabbed the ball home.

Sutton keeper Richard Starkey pulled off several good saves to preserve the lead before he was finally beaten in the last minute of normal time when Sam Dixon crossed for Brooks to score.

Extra time was very tight until the tie was finally decided by a fine solo effort from Brooks, his 45th goal of a prolific season.

* Lewis Dunn struck twice as the Jets beat under-11s Westwood clubmates the Dolphins 3-1 in the Craven League Cup.

A shot by Dunn hit the bar before just clearing the line for the opener, with captain Jake Larvin having several chances to extend the advantage.

The Dolphins took advantage to equalise before the interval but further goals by Jacob Slator and Dunn settled the outcome.

* BPA Juniors under-15s lost twice in as many days as they played a double-header weekend in the Craven League Steve Williams Cup They opened with an 8-2 reverse against Sandy Lane, who had also won convincingly in the league, although it was close until the visitors pulled clear at the end.

Saqib Mohammed’s first goal of the season cancelled out Lane’s opener and Billy Enoch pulled it back to 3-2 but although Nathan Armstrong and Luke Taylor were outstanding at the back, they were eventually overrun.

Crosshills were the Sunday opponents and this finished 6-0, which was not helped by keeper Kieran Darbey being forced off injured. Tom Storey was named man of the match.

* Wibsey Lions under-16s clinched the Huddersfield League Division Two title with a 4-2 win at Queensbury Celtic.

The Lions were 3-0 up within the first 25 minutes, Ryan Archer setting up Tom Bentham for the first before the same combination led to Josh Thompson tucking away a rebound for the second.

Thompson capitalised on another Archer pass to make it three and it was 4-0 just before half-time when Nathan Khan smashed in a volley.

Wibsey took their eyes off the ball in the second half and let Queensbury back in it but were far enough ahead to hang on to the points.

Wibsey under-12s notched a fantastic 9-0 win over third-placed Hade Edge Tigers to move up to seventh in Division Four.

Jacob McLoughlin and Owen Khan earned an early two-goal cushion and it was 4-0 at the interval with further goals from McLoughlin and Eli Fielding-Bell.

McLoughlin completed his hat-trick early in the second half and ultimately bagged four. Fielding-Bell doubled his tally and Warris Khokar completed the rout with two well-taken late goals.
