Wibsey Lions Under-16s took another big step towards the Huddersfield RCD Junior League Division Two title with a 9-0 victory over Netherton.

Mani Omojola gave Wibsey the lead in the sixth minute, and Scott Morris made it 2-0 three minutes later.

Josh Thompson and a superb Ryan Archer overhead kick doubled the advantage, and it was 6-0 inside 30 minutes via Archer and Damo Hields.

Archer then completed his hat-trick from a penalty, Connor Rhodes and Cam Green finishing the rout.

The Lions, unbeaten in 18 matches, have a nine-point lead with six games to go, and have a game in hand on their nearest challengers.

Meanwhile, Wibsey Lions Under-12s notched up their third straight league win by a straightforward 9-3 margin against Woodkirk Valley.

Having won the reverse fixture 6-2 recently, Wibsey were 3-0 ahead within ten minutes thanks to interplay between Jacob McLoughlin (2) and Owen Khan.

Both completed their hat-tricks either side of half-time as it became 6-0.

Eli Fielding Bell scored next, Woodkirk replying with two goals and a late consolation but in between time Khan and McLoughlin got Wibsey back on track.

Wyke Wanderers Under-Tens A held on to second after a 9-0 win over Yorkshire Lions, Jack Leach setting them on the way in the first minute.

Stan Cahill and Jacob Smith (2) netted before half-time, and the second half was more of the same thanks to Reece Clay (2), Leach, Smith and Reuben Davis.

Division 5A leaders Shelf Under-11s A were outstanding in winning 15-0 at Birchencliffe.

Jordan Harrison bagged a hat-trick and set up seven of the others, while Josef Storer netted six, Kieran Townsend two, with Alex Swinbank, Armani Andrews, Lewis Fitzpatrick and Kofi Kasey also netting.

Shelf Under-11s B finished off their season with a 2-2 draw against Elland B, Lewis Emmott and Harrison Williams netting for Shelf.

BPA Juniors Raptors Under-11s recovered from going be-hind in the first minute to win 5-2 at Wilsden in the Craven, Aire & Wharfe Junior League C Division.

Billy Lee Firth and Vincent Henderson made it 2-1 before half-time, and the latter then netted for 3-1.

Wilsden replied before Jordan Rushworth and an own goal completed the scoring.

BPA Juniors Under-15s finished their campaign with a battling 2-2 draw against Thornton United.

Trailing 1-0 at half-time, BPA added a Tom Storey penalty and a Connor Barley goal, only for United to equalise.

BPA Juniors Under-18s beat Pudsey Juniors 7-3 with goals from Harry Hall (3), Josh Finan (3) and Tom Oman’s first for the club.

Dudley Hill Rangers Under-Eight Blues hosted Calverley B in a Keybury Alarms Youth League double-header at Newhall Park, losing 3-2 in the first outing despite a brace from Luke Jeffreys.

However, goals from Jeffreys and Adam Morris then gave Rangers a 2-0 win.

Rangers Under-Eights Reds twice came from behind against Keighley Shamrocks Knights before losing 3-2, but Rangers Under-Tens triumphed 9-5 against Shamrocks, man of the match Anton Tavernier leading the way with a hat-trick, supported by Spencer Dunk (2), Harry Norton, Karl Kwedi, Carl Hadley and Karlson Ogie.

Rangers Under-Nines looked to be heading for a hefty defeat when trailing 5-1 at half-time at Long Lee but only lost 5-4, George Edge, Callum Thornton, Joel Beaumont and James Hemsworth netting.
