Division 4A leaders Bradford Warriors under-11s recovered from 3-1 to gain a point in their Huddersfield RCD Junior League Division clash at home to Holmfirth Town and therefore maintain their unbeaten record.

Warriors played against the wind in the first half and found themselves 2-0 down within 15 minutes but, having got into the game, they got a deserved goal before half-time through Roberto McFarlane, who beat two men before shooting into the corner of the net.

The hosts began the second half on the front foot but missed a couple of decent efforts before Holmfirth broke away to make it 3-1.

Warriors began to press more, and McFarlane grabbed his second goal of the game before Adam Worby found the net in the last couple of minutes to earn a draw.

Wyke Wanderers under-tens were lucky to avoid the rain but had to play in a cold wind, despite the bright sunshine, in a hard-fought 2-0 victory at Greetland.

Harris Cunningham and Kieran McGuire did well in defence for Wanderers in a goalless first half before Wyke stepped up a gear after the interval.

Jack Leach was the first to score for Wyke, sliding the ball past Greetland's keeper before Reuben Davis pounced to seal the game for Wyke.

The B team were rampant, scoring nine without reply with goals from Hayden Clifford (4), Kamran Latif (3), Ranganai Musa and Sam Kershaw.

Wyke Wanderers A are at Cleckheaton & Gomersal in the cup this weekend, while the B team have a bye.

Steeton under-18s kicked off their Craven, Aire & Wharfe Junior League season proper with a fine 5-2 home victory over Long Lee.

Determined to play their passing game and avoid the aerial presence of Long Lee, Steeton started brightly and created a number of good opportunities without being able to convert them.

Long Lee also pressed hard, closing Steeton down, and they themselves had a good few chances,  Steeton keeper Pat Husarz reacting quickly to push away one good effort.

It wasn't until late in the first half that the deadlock was broken with a wonderful first-time strike from Steeton's Jonson Butterfield.

Not long into the second half, Steeton doubled their lead as Euan Sessford, running at the Long Lee defence, fed Casey Dowthwaite, who drilled the ball low into the far corner.

But Long Lee were still in the match and continued to push for a goal of their own, which came as Safia Hussain evaded Steeton's defenders on the edge of the area and slotted the ball past Husarz.

Almost straight away, Long Lee were through on goal again, chasing a ball into the penalty area and, although being pushed wide of goal, the Long Lee forward was brought down by the Steeton keeper, Peter Kus calmly scoring from the penalty spot to make it 2-2.

Steeton needed to lift their game and were thankful when Dowthwaite restored their lead before Lewis Robinson timed his run perfectly to beat the offside trap as he collected a flick on, rounding the keeper before stroked the ball into an empty net to make it 4-2.

Steeton now looked to see out the game and defended well. As the second half came to a close, Josh Ferguson rose high at the far post to head home from Butterfield's corner and kill the game off at 5-2.

Thackley Dragons under-15s maintained their 100 per cent record in the Harrogate & District Junior League C Division with a 4-1 victory at Beckwithshaw Saints Jets.

Goals came from Daniel Grimshaw (2), Ryan Carre and captain Jack I'Anson, with right back Jamie Denning being named man of the match.
