Over half a century of Bradford Boys successes in the English Schools’ FA’s Under-15 Trophy will be celebrated next month.
Last season’s team, who defeated Brent 3-0 in the final at Leicester City FC, way back to the quarter-finalists from 1960-61 will be represented on Tuesday, November 26 in Bingley.
The 2012-13 side were Bradford’s first outright winners since 1916 but they shared it in 2000-01, after a draw with Swindon, and were beaten semi-finalists in 1978-79 (losing to Bristol), 1993-94 (Sheffield) and 1997-98 (Barnsley).
Bradford were also quarter-finalists in 1962-63 (Stoke) and 2002-03 (Sefton), and lost in the sixth round in 1968-69 (Kirkby), 1971-72 (Erdington and Saltley), 1973-74 (Liverpool) and 1987-88 (Cambridge).
Tickets are available from Tony Cryer on 01274-568401, and it is hoped that over 100 will attend.
