Eldwick Primary School's Year Six boys' soccer team are one tournament away from a Wembley appearance
Eldwick Primary School’s Year Six team will be on their way to Wembley if they come through tomorrow's Northern Schools’ Six-A-Side Soccer finals in Bradford.
They have already come through two qualifiers involving teams from Shipley and Bradford at Titus Salt School and again at GOALS, beating St Francis 5-4 on penalties in the latter Bradford Schools’ Games final.
Eldwick's Year Six teacher and football coach Matthew Doran said: “There are nine teams taking part tomorrow from all over the North and we might not even have to win it to get to Wembley as I cannot see only one team going through from the North and South.”
Eldwick’s squad is goalkeeper Oliver Hollingsworth, Will Bambrugh, Sam Dixon, Sam Boldy, Nathaniel Booth, Oliver Bowman, Alex Stevenson and Max Foulds.
