BD3 United Football Club enjoyed their best weekend ever in terms of results as all ten of their teams won.

The golden weekend saw the under-eights Tigers win 8-3, the under-eights Lions 6-2 and the under-nines 3-1.

The under-tens continued the winning run with a 9-2 victory and the under-11s struck double figures with an 11-3 triumph.

The under-12s were 5-4 winners and there were victories for the under-14s (7-1) and under-16s (4-3).

The senior side were also victorious, winning 4-2 in the Spen Valley League Premier Division, while the Reserves came through 5-1 in Division One.

Junior coach Majid Ali said: “It was a truly great weekend in terms of results. It's not all about winning but it sure helps.”

Player of the weekend was Faisel, who scored five goals in the under-tens’ first win of the season.

Goal of weekend was a bullet header by captain of the senior first team, Toseef Arshad.

Team of the weekend was shared between all ten sides.

Meanwhile, in the Craven Mini League, BD3 under-eights Lions scored a weekend double.

On Saturday they beat Salts A 14-9, with Farris Khan hitting seven goals.

Khan was in red-hot scoring mood again the following day, adding four more to his tally in a 6-2 win over a strong Bingley team.

Myrtle Wanderers under-16s continue to put right the defeats from earlier in the season. After beating Long Lee in the Craven, Aire & Wharfe League the previous Sunday, it was Thackley’s turn this weekend.

Despite Thackley having the upper hand in the first half and leading 2-0, it was the Wanderers who took charge of the game after the break and they will be disappointed to have not put more than three past Thackley.

Even so, keeper Jordan Fletcher had to be strong when saving one-on-one against a Thackley striker in the final minute.

Man of the match was Shakeel Ashraf, who continues to impress.

Goals came from a hard-working Oli Dunn and Matty White, with notable performances from Haydn Baldwin and Harry Taylor.

Undercliffe Celtic under-15s were involved in a nine-goal thriller against Thackley.

Ewan Pickering opened the scoring for Celtic against his old team-mates, with newcomer Jack Vickers, Ryan Simpson and Phillip Byron adding to the first-half total.

Thackley fought back though and forced some great saves from Celtic goalkeeper Hamza Mohammed.

With the scores tied at 4-4, man of the match Paul Causley hit the winning goal for Celtic.

Wyke Wanderers under-nines A team came away 3-1 winners at Clifton Rangers in the Huddersfield RCD League.

Battling against a steep slope in the first half, Jacob Smith managed to open the scoring before Clifton equalised before the break.

In the second half, Wyke managed to take advantage of the slope, with Reece Clay netting a brace.

The B team were on the wrong side of a 4-3 scoreline.

Despite battling hard and creating several chances, Wyke were unable to come back from a 3-1 first-half deficit.

Logan Jean-Jacques and Rananai Muza (2) netted for Wyke.

Wyke Wanderers under-11s beat Bradford Park Avenue 10-1 to see them climb to second in the table heading into the Christmas break.

Charlie Smith scored another hat-trick, with Luke Delahunty, Josh Grant and Sam Hartley – his first of the season – also on target.

Thackley Dragons Under-14s made it 22 goals in two games with an 11-0 victory over Killinghall Nomads in the Harrogate League.

Goal-scorers were Nathan Henderson Hall (4), captain Tom Storey (3), Danny Grimshaw (2), Ryan Carre and Jamie Denning.

Thackley Under-14 Warriors had an easy 14-1 home victory over Knaresborough Celtic to maintain top position in the league.
