Leaders Bradford Park Avenue Lizards under-12s made it seven Keybury League wins out of seven for the season as they saw off dogged Albion Sports 4-2.

Goals from Cameron Brewster, Dominic Corps and a Kaylum Johnson rocket gave the Lizards a comfortable half-time cushion.

But Sports hit back with two quick replies and it needed a second Brewster strike to finally give Avenue the points.

Returning goalkeeper Rajan Sandhu was among the goals with a thumping penalty as Dudley Hill Rangers under-nines powered to an 11-0 win at Cononley.

Harry Norton led the surge with a hat-trick, supported by further strikes from Spencer Dunk (2), Dominic Howard (2), Niall Griffiths, Karl Kwedi and Kian Howard.

Ben Cockcroft scored four times as Baildon Dynamos under-sevens won 7-0 at Keighley Shamrocks.

Two-goal Lyndon Bateson was named man of the match, with Alfie Turner also on the scoresheet, while Hamish McCallam and Harvey Menzies excelled in defence.

Louis Anderson went one better than Cockcroft with five goals for Dynamos’ under-tens as they powered to a 14-0 win at Calverley.

Man of the match Courbon Carr, Denon Sokee and Ben Stevens all scored twice, with Louis Turner, Charlie Menzies and Will Robinson adding the other goals.

Harvey Weston-Beyer also shone, with keeper Nathan Heyward contributing another clean sheet.

Avenue Eagles under-12s surged two points clear at the top of the Craven League table with a hard-fought 6-3 win at Thackley Thunder, with title rivals Campion only managing a 2-2 draw at Horsforth.

Daniel Frost set up Avenue’s opening two goals against his former club with quality corners as Zack Sangster and Tyler Rhodes headed home.

Keeper Jordan Moorhouse, who was bravely playing with a fractured thumb, was beaten as Thackley pulled one back.

But the visitors restored their two-goal cushion before the interval from yet another corner as Rhodes cashed in after George Wood’s shot had been well saved.

The Eagles were stunned at the start of the second half as Thackley pulled level but recovered well as goals by Sangster (2) and Frost pulled them clear, with Sangster now having bagged five hat-tricks in seven games.

Jordon Farrell doubled up as Prospect Juniors under-15s battled to a well-earned point in a 4-4 thriller against Avenue.

Prospect were two goals up inside two minutes through man of the match Farrell and Lewis Searle but Avenue stormed back to take a 3-2 lead.

Winger Connor France equalised after good work by captain Joel Friis and although Avenue restored their lead in the second half, Farrell was on hand to earn a point.

Kayode Ajayi scored Avenue under-14s’ consolation goal as they lost 6-1 to leaders Thornton United.

Billy Enoch was Avenue’s man of the match, with Luke Taylor and Jake Brame also impressing.

Avenue’s under-18s were also defeated, 6-3 against Wilsden, despite a fantastic display by man of the match Ryan Ward. Luther O’Farrell (2) and Harry Hall were on the mark.

Jacob Smith and Jack Leach scored five goals each in an emphatic 13-0 win for Wyke Wanderers under-nines at home to Elland in the Huddersfield League.

The visitors threatened to score with the first attack of the game but that was as good as it got as Kamran Latif, Reece Clay and Stan Cahill also netted for Wyke.

The Wanderers B team followed up with another win against Elland as Logan Jean-Jacques (2) and Ranganai Muza struck in a 3-0 success.

Wyke’s under-11s carried on their good recent form with an 8-2 victory over Pudsey.

Man of the match Josh Grant grabbed two goals, as did Charlie Smith and Noel Jones, with Lewis Evans and Danny Ingham completing the tally.

Umar Karim sealed the man of the match honours with a superb hat-trick as Albion Sports under-15s reached the Bradford District Cup semi-finals with a 6-2 victory over Queensbury.

A 20-yard shot by Karim gave Albion an early lead and although a spirited Queensbury soon equalised, Sports quickly regained control.

Further goals followed from Sanjay Chudasama, Cameron Green with a penalty and Awais Ali, while keeper Aaron Day frustrated Queensbury when they attacked on the break.

Danny Grimshaw led the way with a hat-trick as Thackley Dragons under-14s strengthened their Harrogate & District League position with an 11-2 romp against third-placed Knaresborough Celtic Hoops.

Man of the match Grimshaw was backed up by further goals from Nathan Henderson-Hall (2), Tom Storey (2), Ryan Holstead, Jack Mongan, Jack I’Anson and Ryan Carre.

The victory left Thackley in fifth place but they are now just a point behind the Hoops, who have played nine games compared to the Dragons’ six.
