West Bradford Golf Club are offering a flexible membership for £189, rather than the annual membership fee of £800
Bearing in mind that times are hard, West Bradford Golf Club have become the first club in the area to launch a flexible membership.
Instead of paying a full membership fee of £800, there is the new initiative for just £189.
Club vice-president David Farnell said: “For those who play regularly, the full membership is still the best option but the flexible membership will appeal to people who only play, say, 15 times a year.”
A club statement says the flexible offer will appeal to new, as well as established, golfers - those who want full membership with all its advantages without paying a large annual membership fee.
It states: “The initial cost is £189. This gives full membership and playing rights.
“These members can pay a much-reduced flexi-fee and can play at any time and in competitions.
“This fee depends on when they play, for example - more at weekends, less during the week.”
The statement continued: “West Bradford are the first club in the area to offer such a scheme and are convinced it will prove very popular - especially to the young and not so young, whose time is valuable and can’t play regularly.
“They want to have a handicap and play enjoyable golf on a good course in friendly surroundings.
“This is just the scheme for them.”
