SHIPLEY Golf Club have the chance to reign in Spain when they tee up in the grand final of the Golfplan Insurance PGA Pro-Captain Challenge next week.

Head PGA pro Nathan Stead and captain Baxter Ireland will be competing against nine other clubs from across the UK in the £25,000 event at Lumine Mediterranea Beach & Golf Community from Wednesday, November 30 to Thursday, December 1.

It’s the first time the prestigious event is being held at the resort, which features two Greg Norman designs and is a regular European Tour qualifying school venue.

The duo booked their place in the final by shooting an eight under par 64 in the regional qualifier at Rudding Park.
