KEIGHLEY-BORN caddy Billy Foster is set to make his 13th appearance at the Ryder Cup next month after Lee Westwood was handed a wildcard for Europe today.

The Bingley St Ives member, whose first involvement in one of sport's most popular competitions was back in 1987, is set to carry Westwood's bag as Darren Clarke's side aim to defend their crown across the pond.

Westwood, with whom Foster was reunited with back in 2014 after the caddy recovered from a serious knee injury, was one of three wildcard picks for the showdown at Hazeltine.

German Martin Kaymer and Belgian Thomas Pieters were Clarke's other picks, with Westwood set for his tenth consecutive appearance when he tees off in Minnesota on September 27.
