Otley’s Jack Kelley and Cookridge Hall’s Ben Hutchinson were in the Yorkshire golf team that finished runners-up in the Boys’ County Championship at Kedleston Park in Derbyshire.
Defending champions Yorkshire defeated Hampshire, Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands 6½-2½ on the final day but it was not enough to catch first-time winners Staffordshire, who saw off Devon 8-1.
