Bradford Park Avenue players have one last chance to persuade boss Dave Cameron they should be part of his next promotion campaign.
The Horsfall Stadium side line up for the final time this season when they travel to Fleetwood Town on Saturday to compete for the Peter Swailes Memorial Shield.
It is the UniBond League's showpiece game and pits Division One North title winners Avenue against the Premier Division champions from the west coast.
"This will be the last opportunity for any of the players to convince me to keep them on board," said Cameron.
"They are under no false impressions. Next season Bradford will be playing with Mr Cameron's squad of players. Everyone is clear about that.
"Some of the players here are good enough, no doubt about it. Some of them are not good enough. I have seen that already.
"Those are the ones who struggled in Division One. Next season will be even more intense. In the higher division we will be up against better players week in, week out."
Cameron has yet to make his mind up on on some players and he said: "There are ones in between the two camps who still have something to prove. Not in terms of skill, technical ability or fitness but in the attitude they show to the club and to me as manager.
"This could be the best possible chance for them to show their qualities because we are up against a club who are at the point we want to be at this time next year.
"Fleetwood have won promotion to the Conference North and that is our next target."
Cameron is already beginning to focus on that, saying "Don't get me wrong, we are enjoying this title and the extra games that it has brought with the chances to win more trophies but the broad smiles we have now won't last long.
"The title success will have worn off soon and I will be looking at a busy summer building a new squad. If any of these players are to be part of that they will have to put in a good shift at Fleetwood."
Saturday's opponents pipped former Avenue boss Benny Phillips' old club Witton Albion to the Premier crown.
Thackley have home advantage on the final day of the Northern Counties East Premier Division when they host title-winners Winterton Rangers.
The Dennyfield side have struggled to preserve their status in the top flight but three points tomorrow could lift them to 14th spot.
Liversedge are in action on the road at Shirebrook Town, who are one point below Thackley.
Sedge will remain in fourth place whatever their result.
Last Saturday's 2-0 win over mid-table Brodsworth MW left Steve Newton's men five points adrift of the top three but four points ahead of fifth-placed Nostell Miners' Welfare.

Cameron is dead right. Benny Phillips brough a lot of skillful players to the club, but a few of them lack the attitude that's needed, especially when things are not going well.
I'm under no illusions - Cameron needs to beef up the team and he'll have to be ruthless with the slackers.

Avenue need 6 or 7 new players at least, over the last 9 games they have won only three and have also lost their last six away games, with the squad at the moment they would be lucky to escape relegation, fortunetly Cameran has realised this so the squad at the start of next season will look a lot different to the one at the moment.
