MARK Bower feels that he will have the best kind of selection headache on Saturday as he has players returning from injury and a side bursting with confidence after last week's Emirates FA Cup tie win.

Bradford Park Avenue have put an eight-game unbeaten run together and, arguably the best result in that sequence, was last Saturday's 3-0 win at Vanarama National League North rivals Southport.

Ahead of Saturday's trip to the Phillips 66 Community Stadium to face Leamington in the league, Bower said: "There were no new injury concerns from the cup tie.

"Adam Nowakowski came off at half-time with a bad back but he'll be available for selection on Saturday.

"We'll have Nicky Clee back again after he missed the cup game through illness, and Danny Boshell and Luca Havern have had an extra week's training under their belts.

"I think we're as strong as we have been squad wise for some weeks."

Avenue's run has taken them up to eighth and they head into the weekend just three points off fourth spot and outside the play-off places on goal difference only.

The Brakes are a lowly 20th but are only in the relegation places on goal difference.

They are now just one point worse off than Nuneaton Town, who held Avenue to a 1-1 draw at Horsfall Stadium not long ago.

The Brakes haven't won in their last three games but have drawn their last two, holding promotion-chasing Darlington a week last Saturday.

The experienced Bower will have his squad primed and ready for yet another tough game, and said: "Leamington are another side like Nuneaton.

"You see their league position and you wonder why because they're such a good side. You can't take anything for granted in this league and we know that we're in for a tough game.

"We need to bring a lot of good habits we've shown recently into the game because if we don't we'll get turned over.

"We're unbeaten in eight, and if we can make it nine this weekend it'll keep the confidence going as much as the run but we have to be bang on it.

"We've got players coming back to fitness and knocking on the door, so whoever plays will need to put in a good performance."
