MARK Bower is pleased that Bradford Park Avenue were able to do a bit of business on transfer deadline day last week and feels his squad are well equipped for the six remaining games of the season.
Jamie Spencer was drafted in on loan from Sky Bet Championship neighbours Huddersfield Town a week last Thursday.
The young central midfielder joined just a few days before Jake Hibbs' loan from FC Halifax Town was extended until the end of the season.
Avenue boss Bower said: “We had a couple of loan players and we wanted to keep Jake and Wayne (Brooksby) until the end of the season.
“It will be a tough few weeks and we’ll need everyone in the squad over these last half a dozen games.
"It’s vital that we stay in Vanarama National League North, and we’ve given ourselves a very good chance of that.
“Jamie has come in and we expect that he will play a part - we haven’t brought him in just to make the numbers up.
"He has a very good pedigree having come through the system at Huddersfield, and I’ve seen him in training and he looks very confident.
“This is a good opportunity for him to get a taste of men’s football, if you like.
"He has proved to everyone at Huddersfield that he’s a good player and he can show that he’s ready to step up if he does well with us.
“Hopefully it will be a good arrangement for all parties.”
