HAWORTH-born teenage Bradford City striker Reece Webb-Foster is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a serious knee injury.

Bantams boss Stuart McCall confirmed yesterday that the 18-year-old has damaged cruciate ligaments while training with Bradford Park Avenue, where he was on loan.

McCall said: "It's really terrible news for Reece. He's done his cruciate ligaments and he'll be out for at least six months.

"He's got to knuckle down and be mentally strong. He needs surgery but he'll want to come back stronger than ever."

Webb-Foster, whose contract at Valley Parade runs until the end of the 2018 campaign, made his City debut as a 16-year-old against MK Dons.

He has featured three times for the Bantams this season but also been on loan at Guiseley and Harrogate Town, as well as Avenue.
