CHIB Chilaka, Bradford Park Avenue's s top scorer for the last two seasons, has re-joined Vanarama National League North club Harrogate Town.

The 29-year-old Nigerian-born striker was with Bradford City in 2010-11, making four appearances, and was loaned to Avenue and Harrogate Town while he was at Valley Parade, and played for Braintree Town and Harrogate Town, who Avenue signed him from in July, 2013.

In his two spells at Avenue, he scored 22 goals in 54 games, and he will link up at Harrogate with former Avenue captain Simon Ainge, who moved there earlier this summer.

With Avenue's player of the season Craig King having joined Salford City, a number of high-profile players have moved on but will be seen at Horsfall next term as opponents.

Newly-appointed head coach Alex Meechan and director of football Terry Dolan are working hard in the transfer market, and have already had talks with a number of potential new recruits.

Meanwhile, Guiseley have confirmed that Adam Smith has agreed a new deal to stay at Nethermoor after passing a medical.

Smith was with the Lions last season as they held onto their place in the country’s fifth division in dramatic circumstances on the final day of the campaign.

He had been signed, initially on loan, from National League rivals Wrexham and regained his fitness.

Lions boss Mark Bower feels that Smith and fellow new signing Nicky Clee will both benefit from a full pre-season and will prove to be great assets.
