BRADFORD Park Avenue slid down to 15th in the Vanarama National North with their defeat at the weekend – but they could make that ground up again tonight when they head to Worcester City.

Darren Edmondson’s side went down 2-1 at leaders Solihull Moors on Saturday in a close game, and the manager feels there were plenty of positives to take from the clash despite the scoreline.

Avenue are three points better off than Worcester going into tonight’s clash at Aggborough – City play their games at Kidderminster Harriers’ ground – and have a game in hand.

Bradford were on a three-game winning run before the set-back at Solihull so are in good form, while Worcester are stuttering. Their last win was back in February and they have taken six points from seven games since, drawing six of those.

It's a busy night of football elsewhere with five of the area’s other sides in action, with the main focus being on Dennyfield where Thackley host near neighbours Liversedge in a Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier Division derby.

There is a lot at stake as the Dennyboys would go above local rivals Albion Sports with a win, but Sedge could climb out of the relegation zone if they were to net three points.

Albion are sidetracked as they travel to Rainworth MW for a League Cup quarter-final tie. Both sides are in the top tier with Kulwinder Sandhu’s men immediately above tonight’s hosts in the table.

Eccleshill United are on the road in Division One as they make the trip to relegation threatened Worsbrough Bridge Athletic.

Silsden could climb off the foot of the North West Counties Premier Division – but not out of the drop zone – if they win at home against fifth-placed West Didsbury & Chorlton.
