NEW Park Avenue boss Darren Edmondson will be hoping that he can take his place in the dugout for Saturday's tough trip to promotion-chasing Fylde.

His right-hand man Alex Meecham, director Terry Dolan and coach Danny Schofield directed operations for the midweek 1-0 over Chorley due to contractual issues between Edmondson and his former club Barrow.

The new manager will have been pleased with the way the side played with Lamin Colley, Richard Marshall, Sam Patterson and Adam Mather all restored to the starting line-up following the 2-0 defeat at Tamworth which spelt the end of Martin Drury's reign.

The players adapted to a new system and controlled a game against one of the top teams in the division with Chib Chilaka scoring the winning goal.

The victory lifted Bradford up to 15th and increased the cushion between them and the National North drop zone to five points.

They are now two points behind FC United of Manchester and Gloucester City and have three games in hand on both.
