PARK Avenue have parted company with manager Martin Drury, replacing him with former Barrow boss Darren Edmondson on a caretaker basis until the end of the season.
Edmondson, 44, led Barrow to the Conference North title last year, and will take up his duties immediately, starting with tomorrow’s home match with Chorley.
He takes over from first team manager Drury and his assistant, Jamie Price, who have been in charge since last April and who are stepping down by mutual agreement.
Owner Gareth Roberts said: “The board would like to thank Martin and Jamie for their undeniable hard work and dedication.
“Football management is a difficult and frustrating occupation and we have agreed that a fresh outlook is needed at the club at this time.”
The change has been made with Avenue struggling just above the National League North relegation zone in 18th.
