BRADFORD Park Avenue will be looking to pull away from the relegation zone in the National League North tonight but they will have to reverse the recent trend in order to do it.

Fellow strugglers Corby Town are the visitors to Horsfall Stadium, but terming tonight’s clash a relegation six-pointer could be a little premature.

Bradford have a four-point cushion on the Steelmen, who are currently in the drop-zone, and have two games in hand on them

But Martin Drury’s side have had a wretched three-game run during which both form and luck has deserved them. A 3-0 defeat at Lowestoft Town, who are one of the five clubs below Avenue, was followed by two more loses.

Drury’s men lost by the odd goal at home to Boston United, and then away at Curzon Ashton on Saturday, both games ending 2-1.

On loan Bantams youngsters Reece Webb-Foster and Dylan Mottley-Henry both made their Avenue debuts at Curzon.

Drury felt his side didn’t get their fair share of key decisions in a game that could have gone either way.

Bradford will be looking to put that behind them with a confidence-boosting home win tonight ahead of the return fixture against Curzon at Horsfall this weekend.

Eccleshill United are also scheduled to have a home game with Penistone Church due to visit for a Toolstation Northern Counties East Division One clash. The Eagles are currently lower mid-table while their visitors are pushing for a top six place and are a huge 23 points better off than their hosts.
