BRADFORD Park Avenue have a second chance to reach the FA Cup fourth qualifying round when they host Salford City in a replay after they were held to a 1-1 draw by the Evo-Stik Premier Division outfit on Saturday.

Bradford boss Martin Drury was disappointed that his side didn’t win the first meeting and his opposite number, Anthony Johnson, also felt Avenue dominated the game.

The Ammies will be trying to make the most of that tonight. Johnson said: “They had 21 corners and certainly taught us a lesson in possession football.

“They were the better side on the day in terms of possession and territory. But it was a one-off game and they turned up but we didn’t. I was disappointed with our performance even though it was against a side from a league above.”

Tonight’s winners will be at home to Southport in the next round a week on Saturday.

Guiseley also have a big game tonight as they head to Wrexham in the National League looking to arrest a run of three straight defeats. The fixture list has not been kind to Mark Bower’s Lions as they faced Lincoln City, Macclesfield Town and league leaders Forest Green Rovers before tonight’s trip.

Closer to home in a Northern Counties East Premier Division derby clash, Albion Sports host struggling neighbours Thackley. Premier Division counterparts Liversedge travel to Division One outfit AFC Emley for a second round League Cup tie.
