Bradford boss Martin Drury will make changes to the starting line-up as he takes his Park Avenue squad to Ossett Albion for their latest friendly tonight.

Avenue beat promoted local rivals Guiseley 3-1 at Horsfall Stadium at the weekend but Drury wants to rotate the players to ensure they all get enough game time.

Drury said: “There will be changes for this game because it’s essential that all of the players are ready for the first league game. There are just two friendly games after this one.

“I was happy with the performance on Saturday. Guiseley are a very good side and they will tear you apart if you let them so it was important we kept possession and didn’t let them play.

“A lot of the possession we had was in areas where we weren’t going to hurt them but that was part of the strategy. They were frustrated when they didn’t have the ball and it allowed us to control spells of the game.”

Drury has confirmed that defender Billy Priestley will spend the first three months of the season on loan at Evo-Stik Premier Division club Ashton United.

Tonight also sees other friendly action with Thackley hosting Farsley Celtic at Dennyfield. Both sides will be rested after taking a break over the weekend.

Brighouse Town also had a blank Saturday but are back in action as they host Huddersfield Town’s development squad. The Terriers originally intended to send a much stronger side but changed their plans after arranging a first team friendly with Deportivo de la Coruna.

Elsewhere Liversedge host Goole AFC while Eccleshill United make the short trip to Garforth Town.
